Creating Limited Editions

BETTER, more beautiful, more elegant — how are special editions created in the automotive sector? Re-accentuating supposedly sophisticated products and giving them a very special touch requires a great deal of sensitivity and know-how about the “DNA” of the target vehicle. First, the design team goes into the research and inspiration phase. Comparable special editions are studied for up to three weeks, their attributes analyzed, related information compiled, analogues formed and color worlds and mood boards developed. A complex range of information is created. Only a few of these approaches are transferred to the next level of detail. The continuing selection deliberately consists of drastically differentiating styles in order to synthesize them into a coherent concept for the final design.

The future of passenger transport

Even before the start of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020, Toyota is planning to use so-called FC buses in the Tokyo metropolitan area. These are environmentally friendly fuel cell buses that can transport up to 77 passengers. The vehicles do not produce any direct air pollutant emissions. Not only in metropolitan areas such as Tokyo but worldwide, there is an urgent need for action to counteract the progressive effects on nature. Daimler is also announcing an electric bus for 2018.

Mobility has always played a significant role in my exciting but also stressful life as an internationally active businessman, diplomat and globetrotter. If, like me, you work in the energy sector and head a government, national oil and gas consortium, you are all too aware of how great the global mobility demand will be today and in the future. I believe that humans are naturally mobile and curious, researching and acting. I've been traveling all over the world since the beginning of my career. I travel to business meetings, conferences and congresses in cities such as Dubai, Vienna, Prague, Budapest and Baku — sometimes even in a week. Thanks to airplanes, trains, cars and sometimes helicopters, I am mobile and can quickly get to anywhere in the world. My mobility is therefore becoming more and more flexible and is still evolving.

Going all in in 13 African countries

Getting kids off the streets in Africa and getting them excited about a great hobby — that's what the “AIBA World Boxing Championship” is all about. We were immediately impressed by the idea and developed a mobile boxing training center with ring and sandbag. Suitable for touring across Africa. More ground clearance, special shock absorbers, reinforcements in sensitive areas, easy handling — the production guys were unstoppable, including rehearsal boxing matches.

Luxury Summit

The event is largely regarded as a premium gathering for executives in the luxury industry, industry leaders, decision-makers, and financiers from around the world. It brought together around 400 guests to discuss the future of the luxury sector, retail concepts, as well as challenges and opportunities of new technology. Top speakers such as Johann Rupert (Executive Chairman, Richemont) and Mario Testino (Photographer) shared their experiences and views with the audience.
